I hope you guys don't mind makeup "newbies" posting in here but I just wanted to share my excitement!
I impulsively stopped by a Mac counter and asked them to match my foundation, out of curiosity. First she did just a spot on my face, then asked if I wanted to see my entire face with it. After that, I couldn't leave the store without it! I knew my current foundation was a bit "off" but I didn't know how good it would look when I found the right one!
I find it difficult to find foundation that matches my skin... Generally I find them too orange/pink and I have a bit of an olive undertone. Do you ladies with olive undertones find the same thing? I have some blemishes on my face too and pinnk undertone foundation just DOES NOT help.
Anyways, I got studiofix liquid foundation in NC15 and MSF natural light!
Since then, I've got like 6 compliments on my makeup... Someone today even asked if I got it professionally done!!!!
All I changed was the foundation!!
(actually, I also got a paint pot at MAC, which I used as a base, so it makes my eyeshadow more vibrant).
Anyways, conclusion: MAC = amazing!!!
Just wish I could afford more of it! How do you ladies afford so much of it?!

So tonight I realized that Modesty is my favorite day-to-day MAC lipstick. I can wear it to work or out on a date and it looks equally great in both settings. I will definitely be grabbing a backup in this one...something I thought I'd never do!
Do you have a favorite lipstick that transitions day to night just as well? I'd love to hear what you think!
Also...
If anyone has any cheap China Glaze polishes (like $2/bottle) that they're looking to get rid of, let me know! I'd prefer to buy a bunch from one person so name your colors =)

I'm probably the only person alive who doesn't like the 182 brush. I bought it back when it was launched and rarely reach for it. Considering it was such a hunk of change, I'm going on a limb here and asking if MAC accepts brush returns? I've never returned anything in all my years of collecting, but I'm assuming I would need the receipt (long gone) and packaging? Maybe? Hopefully not...? I'd totally exchange or take store credit.
Any ideas?

Tips on constructing a resume to be turned in at cosmetics counters/stores? I'm trying to get ready to start sending out applications and I have the normal stuff on it but I'm not sure what else I should have on there. How do I list clients? Selective, or do I list specific events or things that I have done?
Also, when applying to counters, should I apply to each independent of eachother? So like, for example, in Roosevelt Field mall, there's MAC counters in Macy's, Bloomingdales and Nordstroms, but also a freestanding. So would I apply at all of those locations?
I wish our memories weren't horribly outdated to the point that they almost aren't even useful :(
I've had a corneal ulcer so I haven't been able to really put on eye make up but I'll post soon, I promise!

So I am relatively new to being a 'MAC addict', over the past few months my collection has grown nicely, and I am a huge fan of the mineralized eye shadows I own. I have taken note of the popularity of the mineralized skinfinishes but still am unsure of them. What would suit my skin, what to get and how to use them etc.
So I guess I am either NC/NW15 or NC/NW20, I cant remember what I used last, I don't normally use MAC concealer or foundation. I have been using Avon Perfect Wear everlasting liquid foundation in nude and/or a mix of Avon Smooth Minerals in Nude and Soft Ivory. Both of which I love btw.
Point is I am pale, though I do have some natural pink in my cheeks. I currently own one blush, it's from the Bobbi Brown 'Pink face palette' 'pink blush' is all it says on the back. So I think I could use some more colors to choose from.
I know nothing about MSF's, so I am basically looking for any and all imput for a newb interested in these.

I was in kindergarden or first grade and my teacher used to read it to us. Alphabets were on an island... they talked and did stuff. Maybe they were lost. It was some big story that was read in parts. I was 4-5 so I remember it from between 1990-91. I *THINK* I remember it having pages we could color to go along with the store.

I just got this coat for Christmas in a L and it's just too small.
I spent hours online trying to find a coat I really loved, and I've had my heart set on this coat for weeks...
so, I got it for Christmas and it's just too tight. I like having extra room, and it's just not happening with this size.
It's an old A&F coat... I'm not sure which year.
Please help me locate a similar coat in an XL, or just a bigger size L. ]:
